Who we are

This policy explains how The Shuri Group (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through theshurigroup.com. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Each Shuri company operates its own website and services. Where you use one of those, that company’s own privacy policy applies.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, or that your browser sends by default:

  • Enquiries. When you use the contact form or email us: your name, email address, company, enquiry type and message.
  • Applications. When you send us a CV or application: the details and documents you include.
  • Technical data. Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, used to keep the site secure and working.

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and continue the conversation you started.
  • To consider you for roles at The Shuri Group or its companies.
  • To refer your enquiry to the Shuri company best placed to help, where relevant.
  • To keep the site secure and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Sharing

We share personal information only with:

  • Companies within The Shuri Group, where your enquiry concerns them.
  • Service providers who host the site or deliver our email, bound by confidentiality and only processing information on our instructions. Some of these providers store data outside South Africa, under safeguards that meet POPIA’s requirements.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Retention and security

We keep enquiries and applications for as long as needed to deal with them, and for up to two years afterwards unless the law requires longer. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you, and request a copy.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Object to us processing it.
  • Complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

To make a request, email info@theshurigroup.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
